FUNCTIONALITY MEETS DESIGN

To provide an even better packaging solution, we have worked with experts to devise an innovative sprinkler lid. Now users get clean and simple handling and can dispense precise amounts.
The tried and tested WIBERG Aroma Safe® tin is the perfect packaging for high-quality herbs, spices and mixes. It is 100% opaque, conserves the valuable essential oils and also keeps safe the full aromatic strength of our precious products. To this packaging solution has been added − with immediate effect − a new lid design. The key feature of the new development is a sprinkler/pourer opening slot with a fully adjustable slider mechanism, so that small amounts can be dispensed. The obvious advantage of this design compared to hole sprinklers is obvious: the elongated shape of the outlet allows for a better flow and prevents annoying blockages. Two sprinkler openings of different sizes provide additional flexibility when dispensing. "The new sprinkler lid is handy for professional chefs in the catering trade, because it is so convenient and practical. Chefs can work rapidly, cleanly and simply. It makes routine tasks that much easier," says Alois Gasser from the WIBERG Team Inspiration.
This innovative sprinkler design was devised with the help of international packaging experts. Countless trials were conducted with the aim of establishing − and then implementing − optimum functionality, design and handling. The new lid solution consists of two food-safe plastics and is manufactured using a two-component, injection moulding process. The ridge on the top edge of the Aroma Safe® tin and its counterpart on the inside of the lid keep the snap-on top safely in position while sprinkling. And yet, as before, it can be easily removed. "This packaging improvement is an innovative response to the current demands of the trade. Hygiene is of paramount importance in the catering business and the new sprinkler lid makes adherence to the strict HACCP guidelines so much easier for kitchen managers," says division leader Markus Pfarrhofer.
Not only is there improved functionality, the new closure system has a contemporary look. The silver grey colouring gives the sprinkler lid a smart appearance, and it blends perfectly with the new, matt silver surface of the Aroma Safe® tin.
