Manfred Klein
A brilliant free spirit
Just listen to his idea of a successful recipe: "Cooking is about taking responsibility − it's a kind of inspirational rôle-model, an activity that respects natural resources, man and the animal kingdom." Manfred Klein is the creative lateral thinker within the team and is constantly on the look-out for the unusual and other hidden secrets. Far-eastern teaching and "pure nature" characterise his work. Manfred Klein started his working life in the Hotel Bavaria in Pfronten, where he served his apprenticeship, laying the foundations for his professional career. He then worked in many locations at sea and on land, including the cruise ships MS Europa, MS Pearl of Scandinavia, and also the Schloss Ellmau hotel on terra firma in Upper Bavaria. In addition, he obtained a diploma as a "chef specialising in dietary requirements" and founded the chefs' "Healthy Eating" collective. As president of this body he was involved in lecturing and running the food and drinks section for this organisation − including on the fantastic MS Berlin cruise ship.He has been part of the WIBERG Team Inspiration since 2000 and is closely involved with the organised events section. Manfred Klein runs herb and spice training sessions, conferences and seminars, turning them into a genuine experience for all the senses. Further responsibilities include working alongside Team boss Alois Gasser, where he contributes his expertise on quality assurance and product development. In his private life, this pedigree Bavarian loves the Italian "dolce vita" and fast motor-bikes.
